The Malthouse provides a wide selection of boutique beers from local Marlborough brewery Renaissance and 8 wired brewing company, Emersons organic pilsner from Dunedin and other favorites cycle through the taps such as Tuatara, 3 boys, Captain Cooker.

The Malthouse has permanent Imported English beers on tap to offer, Old Speckled Hen is growing ever popular as well as the Green King IPA. Seasonally the Malthouse has Pull pump taps with interesting brews to offer. The wine list is new and exciting and displays a good selection of only local wines.

About us

The Malthouse is owned and operated by the Mason Family with Ted, Jackie and son James taking on the establishment. The family moved from the UK in 2002 and have been based around Marlborough since then. Ted has had Air Conditioning businesses and a Flying School in England. He moved to NZ to retire but soon ventured into farming then into a Marine Engineering business based in Waikawa.
